Denny was telling the truth about a team counting caught foul balls as outs—the Savannah Bananas. Sounds like a team that Ron would think about buying.

They're the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball.

When Ron "harps on a dead horse" again, they should play "The Horse" by Cliff Nobles. Or maybe "A Horse With No Name" by America.

40-year-old Justin Verlander, future Hall of Famer, still active, getting career advice from Denny McLain, who burnt his arm out before the age of 30.

But, hey, Denny, the broken foot speculation still makes a good story, and fits in well with your later activities.

That poor kid who hurt his ear listening to a Tigers game in bed. 12 hours in the hospital. Wonder how many hours Denny has added to that story through the years?

Have any of you blown your load yet?
Is that what you do when you see the confederate flag flying?

How about asking Denny a new question, Ron. Like will there ever be another 22-game loser (like you) in a season?

Funny minor league advice from Denny, who reached the majors as a teenager in his second league in the minors:

Earl Wilson was traded by the Boston Red Sox with Joe Christopher to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for Don Demeter and a player to be named later (June 14, 1966).
