I don't watch 62 so I can't answer my own question. When they are in the studio, how long are they on before they have to take a break?Traveler_1969 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 11, 2023 7:41 amHow much off time do they give you now at cbs 62 it seems like all the anchors and weather personnel get a lot more then I see at other stations. Its great if it's all paid time need to sign on over there
Seems over at 4 & 7, no one can anchor for more than a half hour without a shift change.
"All new at 6 are the same people that were on from 5 to 5:30".
Even with taking more time off, is the amount of time actually in front of the camera the same?
Life is not a dress rehearsal. This is it. There's no going back, and we can only go forward before we run out of runway.

The benefits are the best in the market for anchors and meteorologists. They begin with 3 or 4 weeks vacation time depending on contract, several days of personal time, a week or two of sick time, etc. CBS recognizes the national holidays as paid holidays as well which allows more paid time off. For producers the pay is also the highest in the market which allows for higher holiday 2.5x pay.
In addition many of the staff at all stations take more time off in November and December.

They seem to pay their below the line people pretty well, but they have a smaller staff.
