Was watching the pistons pre game tonight and Tim Mcormick was in studio tonight, immediately thought of Ron and his Tim Mcormick story and the role he played in his life

The last thing any of us wanna hear after he’s been off for an extended hiatus is Ron signing on for the first time, half-asleep, yawns, burping, complaining about everything from the studio chair to the world outside the studio window.
As opposed to some other offering from Scoop?!
Yeah, that describes what we’ve been getting for the last couple of decades at least.

I just thought maybe Ron would come back somehow energized and thankful for what he had and would hit the airwaves ready to “shock the world”!!!

Ron is ALIVE ... at least I think he is.

With Ron now seeking redress against a Buzzboard user, he's turning to a new addition to his legal team.

Thanks for the clarification. :)

It continues to amaze me how much it bothers some people that this thread exists.

I doubt if Ron will, ever be back on the air.I can't see him going out and hustling for ads.I am afraid age and health have caught up,to our hero.
I agree and would be a bummer….but one thing over the years I have learned about him, is to not count him out. The manner in that he would hustle for ads as a “one man operation” was impressive in this day and age

There is, I sense, a diabolical plot among a sinister group on this board to supplant us (& our revered forebears) as the preeminent thread for all things Ron Cameron-related. I beseech us not to be caught unawares in the presence of such an overt affront to our supremacy!!!

Not gonna lie, I am kinda missing Ron & SportsTalk’s one-of-a-kind two hours of comfort food/same-old-same-old radio this holiday season! In previous years/decades it’s been somewhat enjoyable to slow things down from all the hustle and bustle of the holiday season on a weekend morning/afternoon, pour a cup of coffee or three, and catch a little bit of Scoop’s bah-humbug and Sports Weekly updates. Figgy pudding, indeed!

We have the claim of the longest running thread in the history of the Michigan Buzzboard!

Just had WPON on & I heard some programming ad that ended with pointing out the particular show started “just after Ron Cameron.” Ron, it thus appears, is WPON’s franchise player.

I agree, Ron’s shows for sure are entertaining and have that comfort food feeling, especially without in show feedback
