Ya never know, Ron’s commitment to excellence could lead lead him to signing on mysteriously a few songs into the 11 o’clock hour today!

I'm still saying a live broadcast from his hospital room, where he can ask the surgeon what his greatest thrill in surgery has been.

Ron' s take on this hire would be...."He's nothing but a shill for the team....afraid for his job". Ron's probably pissed they brought back Ernie years ago...he thought he should've had the job. Course in Ron's mind, Ty Tyson, Harry Heilmann, or Van Patrick calls the games.
And if Ron reads this part of the Free Press article about Benetti's hiring, Benetti can expect nothing but criticism from Ron:
The search and hiring processes were led by Ron Colangelo (Senior Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting, Ilitch Sports + Entertainment), Ben Fidelman (Director of Communications and Broadcasting, Ilitch Sports + Entertainment) and Jeff Byle (Executive Producer, Bally Sports Detroit).

I felt the need to still check in with the WPON Listen Live function and was not let down, as Gladys Knight threw a rose at Ron's ethos,
"You're like a diamond, But "she" (name your concept) treats you like glass..." and it's followed by a great Jimmy Reed R/B tune, "Bright Lights, Big City."Get yerself right, Ron.

Fellow buzzboard RonCameron posters. Were do you go to find out how many views this thread has?
It depends on what you're surfing with.

On a phone I can't see that. Neither can I see who and when posted to the most recent topic in each forum while still on the main page.. On a desktop computer I can see both.
Thank You
I'd be curious to know how the views are calculated. In the last 24 hours after we hit the milestone, there have been about 2500 more views. Are people really that curious? Are any of these views automated hits by malevolent hackers? Maybe MWmetalhead could tell us.

I got my Ron fix these last couple of hours listening to this 'best of" Ron. And reviewing our contemporaneous posts.

Mr. Positive asked Ron for whom he was voting in the then-upcoming gubernatorial election. Ron begged off, saying he wasn't a registered voter. Not mentioning that he's never voted, probably because of a lack of a permanent address. Mr. Positive brought up Giselle Bundchen. A "great actress," in Ron's opinion.

Competing with Ron's interruptions & play-by-play, poor Alex had to fight to be heard the first hour.

In the middle of the second hour, while Ron was debating whether emailer Meredith was a male or a female, even asking Luke, as if he would know, Alex, whose impatience was evident, interrupted to ask what the email said.

Clint, calling from the bar, hasn't been heard from in some time. Ronald is another caller who's MIA. Wherever he is, he "better get off that crap," criticizing umpires.

To Ron's consternation, Cowboy was little interested in his Mark Fidrych-related Chuck Connors story. When Cowboy sought to move on, Ron barked, "I'm not done!" When Cowboy pointed out that Whitey Herzog was turning 91 on 11/9, Ron, unaware Herzog was still alive, said, "Good for him."

Ron was backtracking from his pre-season prediction that the Lions would win seven games. He was then predicting four wins, possibly five. There was "no way on earth" they'd win seven. They ended up winning nine games.

It was interesting to hear them talk about the Lions' Green Bay game that day, because that was the beginning of the Lions' turnaround. They were a 1-6 team before that game, so Ron's 4-5 win prediction for the season was probably more than most people were predicting.

Ron did his best Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde imitation when he talked with Ronald from Detroit, starting off with friendliness, then exploding with extreme anger at the umpire criticism, then back to friendliness at the end.

He's probably bending the ear of every staff member at the hospital with his comments about this.

On another note, I wonder if Ron knows that Svengoolie on MeTV is showing Munster, Go Home! tonight, with one of his all-time favorite actresses, Yvonne De Carlo?

One can only picture our Ron, lying in his hospital bed, probably eating a door dash delivery from Ram's Horn, complaining that Harbaugh didn't have the guts to show up and coach Michigan against Penn State.

Well, if he's lucky maybe the Lovely Ladies Who Trim will pay Ron a visit tonight.
