Ron thinks Killian Hayes is better than Cunningham.

Bookmark this program—Ron complimenting the Pistons' first round choices. Wonder how long that will last after the regular season starts?

Ron bemoaned the "last place" Yankees, asserting they were below .500 in the AL East. It's 50-47, Sir, heading into the weekend series with the Royals.

Also, please remember hereafter that Detroit's Alex DeBrincat is "this kid..."

The theme for today's show: too many chiefs, not enough Indians.

It’s a rather new part of the ever-evolving Ron’s arsenal.

"So much to talk about" ended up not being much at all. Shocking.

I was listening today, and there were stretches of silence, and I wondered if it was something to do with the stream or an obvious lack of callers, especially in the last hour of the program. I feel like Ron is comfortable with stretches of radio silence if that gets his two hours to the finish line.

Ron earlier talked about his Horatio Alger-like success story. In his case, one who’s never had a permanent address, has lived in one fleabag hotel after another, & has never owned a can opener.
Reminds me of "Monkey Man" by the Rolling Stones, which includes these lyrics:
I was bitten by a boar
I was gouged and I was gored
But I pulled on through

Yeah, I'm a sack of broken eggs
I always have an unmade bed
Don't you?
Bobbert, you sir, hit a home run with this comment. Actual lyrics can easily fit as the parody lyric.
You quote my favorite Stones tune. I could go on about Keith Richards swaggering guitar etc, but this is a sports show

Thanks. There's something about Ron that makes you want to reach for the most extreme metaphors.

Saturday evening I was driving by Comerica Park while a baseball game was being played and I saw a number of buses parked on the other side of I-75, making me think of Ron. Coincidentally I was also listening to WPON and during my drive-by a promotional spot for Sports Talk was broadcast.
