I guess now Ron will be known as “The George Wallace of Sports Talk Radio”.

Ron may have painted himself into a corner and now have to resort to doing a podcast if he hope to continue his career. He’d be able to let it all hang out then.
Ron doesn’t even know how to look up sports news or stats on the internet. Do you really think he would do a podcast? Martin or someone else would have to run it and his few advertisers and audience will dwindle. He’s not as well knows as he thinks, not by a longshot.
Yes, I figured that it would take the assistance of someone for him to do that. Unfortunately for him, it may be his only option.

I wouldn't rule out 93.5 / 99.1 The Roar, the all sports dumpster fire with a 0.0 share run (poorly) by Beasley Media.

A return to 1460 does seem most likely.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Yes, Ron remains the only one in town with the guts to tell it like it is. No spin, just the unvarnished truth.

Forgot all about that station. Apparently their local shows are gone save mornings (which is syndicated in many parts of the state as well as Toledo). They also air the blowhard from GR, who is only one or two steps above Ron.

Man, the wreckage from this weekend, as played out here in this forum, is pretty crazy.

And think about the catastrophic collateral damage caused by Scoop's termination. Where will all of the out of work sportscasters, has been athletes, and other D list sports celebrities in town find an outlet for their faded life stories. Does Mark Wilson even have a reason now to get out of bed? What about the ensuing economic recession his loyal advertisers are sure to suffer due to their relegation back into certain obscurity. Where will the Lovely Ladies trim? Will anyone ever yell "Bingo" again? Where do I go to purchase my "day old scallops"? The ghosts at the Fenton Hotel must be rolling over in their graves.

This whole debacle is sure to cause havoc in local sports and business circles for years and years to come............or at least until Ron can buy time at some other flea bag radio station.

Not only is Cowboy a casualty of Ron's inevitable return to WPON, but so are the emails, fictional or otherwise.

I realize the demise of this current itineration of SportsTalk is no real big deal in anyone’s world (ours most definitely included), yet I’m shocked how it came about, and the fact that this show could possibly continue on and on and on and on with the same guests, the same handful of callers, one-and-done advertisers, pratfalls and gaffes, burps and belches, etc. in perpetuity.

Frankly, I'm surprised Ron survived the early iterations of Covid. Of course, unlike Bertuzzi, he surely got tested.

Frankly, I am surprised at the speed that this has took place. It makes one wonder if the Salem media mgmt had plans in the works to send Ron packing. Perhaps the urgency that Ron had to talk to Mr. P was to get names/numbers of potential employers in the area. The other point is of course we spend all this time to see the trainwreck occur and I think to myself, Jake Wood what else can be said?? Well boom there it goes, unreal.
One other thing, if there is another stop at WPON for Ron he better get back in the saddle quickly or those advertisers will wise up to the fact that nothing changed since the station stopped Ron's broadcasts. So it's in his best interest to not miss a beat.
If there is another stop in Ron's future will Jake Wood be invited back on as guest?

Yeah, but we could witness the return of the infamous "insurance company" callers. So we've got that going for us..........which is nice.

Can someone recount the explosive diarrhea saga for me? I missed that one.
