Bobbert, with your graphic arts skills, along with Ron's constant insertion of himself in the JFK assassination story, how about situating Ron in the car in place of onetime guest Jackie Kennedy next to her husband?

If an outright termination is not in the offing, could Ron be banned (again) from the studio? Live, from Loui's Pizza, Sports Talk with Ron Cameron, Starring Ron Cameron!
If so, it wouldn't be the first time that Ron has paid the price for an ethnic comment on the radio.

In that great feature story about Ron that Neil Rubin wrote in the Free Press in 1990, Neil noted that Ron "lost a job a few years ago on WKSG-FM (102.7) for using the phrase 'Chinaman's chance.' "

Thanks for the suggestion. I put something together. I'll post it as soon as my web host comes back on-line.

Ron used the N-word twice with extreme nonchalance in some empty story that I can’t even remember the context, and then continued to push at a racism angle in his interaction with Jake Wood. It was surprising, if not shockingly tone-deaf, even coming from someone as boorish and clueless as Ron Cameron.
I did not know that Luke was the operations manager at WDTK.I hope Luke fires Ron
.There is no place for racism.Remember Luke to,do nothing is part of the problem not the solution.Do you want to be painted with the same brush as Ron.The ball is in your court.Do the right thing.

I predict that Luke will put up the podcast of the show.Luke is jealous of Ron and views him as a threat. He wants Ron off the station.
There definitely would be some irony if after months of not putting his podcast up if the shows from this past weekend suddenly appeared on the site this week. I have a feeling there would not be any tears shed if there was a parting of ways. I guess that would put the thread on a bit of hiatus. I do not believe that management would send Ron to sensitivity training classes as I suspect it would be easier to cut bait and maybe have the boys of "Dialed in Detroit" try to resurrect their show in Ron's time slot.

I do recall Ron saying something pretty cringeworthy to Rashida when he was calling for an NFL team to sign Colin Kaepernick and it was something about the kneelers and what not. It didn't bother me I just remember shaking my head and laughing saying I can't believe Ron just said that...

As shrewd a media watcher as he is, could yesterday’s goings-on have been a deliberate ploy by the canny Ron to inject himself into the discussion as a possible replacement for either Don Lemon or Tucker Carlson? I definitely could see Ron in the morning on CNN.

Based on this response that I received from my email to Salem complaining about Ron's insensitive language, it looks like it may be trouble for Ron.............

How exactly did Ron use the N word? Was it directed at someone, or was he quoting someone, or something else?

I was half-listening. It was some story that involved Earl Lloyd. With one person saying something about someone (Lloyd?) being a good player for an “N” word, with a Black person (Lloyd?) in the story agreeing that the athlete was a good player for an “N” word. As noted, Ron took great relish in telling this story.
Not sure, but instead of the player being "good," the repeated lines may have been about how "fast" he was.
According to Ron's story, the exchange was:

Racist fan: "Can that n_ play?"
Player's mother, who happened to be sitting right behind the racist fan: "That N_ can play."

If Ron is fired.I think it would be appropriate for Buzzboard Hall of Fame member Bobbert to lead the Buzzboard choir in,a hearty rendition of the classic steam song, Na na hey hey goodbye.

Is there some way we can get a reaction from The Lovely Ladies Who Trim?

He was recounting a story related to the racism that African American players faced in the Jim Crow South.

As I recall it, he was quoting some offhand comments by a bystander in reference to Earl Lloyd’s playing abality. At least something along that line.
