Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
Jefferson Starship "Count On Me" (featuring the late Marty Balin on lead vocal) (from 1978 "Earth") RIGHT lyric: "Ruby lips, you make my song" WRONG lyric: "Groovy lips, you make my song"
Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
The Young Rascals "Groovin'" (from 1967) (# 1 for 4 non consecutive weeks in May & June) Right lyric: "Life would be ecstasy, you and me endlessly" WRONG lyric: "Life would be ecstasy, you and me and Leslie". By the way I was listening to "Solid Gold Saturday Night" either in 1988 or 1989 & a woman called & she wanted to hear "Good Lovin'" by The Little Rascals & Dick Bartley was laughing for 7 seconds & he said "Umm, try The Young Rascals" & then he played "Good Lovin'" ( # 1 song back in April 30, 1966 for 1 week on Billboard Hot 100 Charts).

Well,I'm not gay, stopnswop2,but even as a straight man, I know women are plentiful (if mostly fugly ) in the Detroit area ,so with the male-female ratio being close to even (though slightly favouring ladies over lads ) ,I figure you should encounter your dream dude in due time .
Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
The late Arthur Lee & Love "Alone Again Or" (from 1968 classic album "Forever Changes") RIGHT LYRIC: "I think that people are the greatest FUN & I will be alone again tonight my dear" WRONG LYRIC: "I think that people are the greatest ONES". "Forever Changes" is a classic masterpiece & a must have!!!
Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
Lee Ann Womack (with or without Sons Of The Desert) "I Hope You Dance" (2000) RIGHT LYRIC: "And when you get the CHOICE to sit it out or dance" WRONG LYRIC: "And when you get the CHANCE to sit it out or dance".
Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
"So Alive" Love and rockets 1989. WRONG- My head is full of magic baby and I got the shivers for you. RIGHT- My Head is full of magic baby and I cant share this with you".
Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
In the ZZ Top song "Legs" (from 1983 "Eliminator") "Oh I want her, SURE I got to have her, that girl is all right". In the remix version (from 1991 "Greatest Hits") "Oh I want her, SHIT I got to have her, that girl is all right".
Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
This isn't a misheard lyric. It's misheard name for a group. Back when I was very young (1950s) My parents used to listen to the radio. There was quartet named The Ink Spots. I thought it was The Inx Box.
Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
Badfinger (featuring Joey Molland & the late Tom Evans with Tony Kaye, later of Yes "90125" & "Big Generator") "Rock N' Roll Contract" (from 1981 "Say No More" & their final album) RIGHT lyric: "Know you can, know you can, know you can, know you can" WRONG lyric: "No you can't, no you can't, no you can't, no you can't". The album is NOT on itunes anymore & also out of print which has the late Peter Max drawing. The song "Hold On" went to # 56 (Hot 100) & # 42 (Billboard's Mainstream Rock Charts) in April of 1981. There were 2 more 45 singles "I Got You" & "Because I Love You" but both did not charted. That album did NOT play on 96 WHNN (when it was a rock station) in Saginaw, MI back then!!!
Re: Misheard Song Lyrics
The Carpenters song "Crescent Noon" (from 1970 "Close To You") Thought it was "Crescent MOON"!!
