Bell claims that they got rid of her due to "Changing viewer habits" but insiders have said that CTV News's CEO wasn't fond of her and ordered the firing. What makes this even worse is that her show was the most popular national newscast in Canada and recently won an award for "Best national news anchor" in Canada.

I ponder if the CTV News CEO made an advance that was rebuffed. Probably not. Just the first thought I had.

I guess she clashed with the CEO on two separate occasions, and apparently, he doesn't like it when journalists, especially women, push back. He also broke a corporate promise of not interfering with news coverage.
