The 3 big cable news channels received record ratings in a busy news year, ESPN struggled throughout the year due to the pandemic, and kids channels continue to decline in populatity.

It's remarkable to me how many more viewers ION has in prime time than CW!

The ratings of FS1, NBC Sports Network, NFL Network and Showtime are dreadful!

Can someone help me understand why MTV Classic still exists?

ION has had a very loyal audience since they've started airing crime dramas years ago.

I think the pandemic hasn't helped any sports channel really, be it ESPN, FS1, NBCSN or NFL Network. There are now rumors of NBCSN shutting down by the end of the year and all the remaining programming moving to NBC Universal's Peacock streaming service. FS1 tends to be very popular when sports are going on. NBCSN tends only to get ratings for European Soccer, the NHL, NASCAR, and the Olympics.

MTV Classic is an automated feed of music videos and few would notice if it were to shut down. Everything on there can be found on YouTube. MTV2 is another waste of a channel too.

Even Radio Disney died on December 31, 2020- despite being an advertising billboard for Disney artists.
