It seems like it's really NBC Nightly Commercials! There is a story, they go to commercial. Then repeat that. WTF!?

The usual format for all the nightly newscasts of the three major networks is twelve to fifteen minutes or so of straight uninterrupted news followed by the fluff, feel-good or health-related stories each separated by a commercial break. It goes without saying the major drug companies "own" them due to the aging demographic who watch them.

Not true, cheapest rates for commercial time that’s what it’s all about, It’s not the top news show or the top Network, Fox News Channel has them beat there are more cable viewers than over the air networks combined only 21 percent of TV Homes in the USA are without cable or internet TV so Network news from CBS, NBC and ABC only accounts for a fraction of Network News.

Hopefully they send you a paycheck. Side Note: Numbers do indeed lie they can be manipulated in any way the manipulator wants them to be seen it happens in broadcasting all the time, The numbers are meaningless. NBC and CNBC are the two networks that spread the most fake news on television today, They should change their name to The Fake News Network or FNN. Lester Holt the biggest dumbass on TV which by the way was simply handed the job to him from a silver platter because NBC had no one else and he just was there, Chuck Todd asshole #2 same situation NBC just doesn’t have good talent so these assholes just get these high paying anchor positions and are just mouthpieces for fake news. By the way I like Chuck Todd’s hair his barber just puts a bowl on his head a cuts the hair around it, Nice haircut Chuck!
