The show open with Kate McKinnon (as Hillary) playing the piano and singing I Will Remember You the week after the election had me scratching my head.

Actually she sang Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen who had died earlier that week, (it's a better song.) That skit left me pretty confused.

I always pay more attention to them during the elections. It was always when they did their best work. These days? Who knows.

Weekend Update is still good stuff, and Michael Cheh is quite good.

I stopped watching SNL years ago myself, though mainly due to the quality of the comedy -- nothing to do with politics.
Exactly the case for me.

I haven't watched SNL in a long time. Got tired of all the political satire. It's not funny nor is it original. Can't I watch TV for an hour w/o politics being crammed down my throat? Is that really too much to ask? I firmly believe they have an agenda. NBC is definitely pro democrat.

The Trump Dog skit was the fairest depiction of the deranged Anti-Trump alternate reality of many groups, in this case academic research, and the funniest skit in decades.

The new version of SNL is crammed with young radicals and yes there is an agenda.I love funny political humour but what they do now is overkill.I also refuse to watch jimy Kimmel.

The radical left love to put out there socialist message in way of humour to change hearts and minds. It began in ernst with shows like All in the Family.

Baldwin doing Trump is pretty funny. I live for the day that I can steal his parking spot.
