Re: GOP SOTU response
Her delivery was really creepy… it was like William Shatner had a sex change and started whispering forcefully. She blew the response and was an atrocious choice to give it. A Senator barely in their second year has no business in that role. None. Biden did a really good job with his speech and I don’t think they were expecting that and it showed in the language in the response. There was a disconnect between Biden being forceful and her calling him feeble. It was a gamble by the speechwriter and they lost.Lester The Nightfly wrote: ↑Thu Mar 07, 2024 11:50 pmRight on brand they had that cutie speaking from the kitchen....

Re: GOP SOTU response
Oh... and if you'll forgive me, isn't there a beautiful natural balance and symmetry to Trump now being given classified briefings and materials while in just a few months he'll be on trial for mishandling classified materials. Deep.
Re: GOP SOTU response
As opposed to the Joe who "would likely present himself to a jury...as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory" who can't even remember where he puts classified documents?
I guess that's one way of telling is you're a sexist.

Re: GOP SOTU response
Don't get me wrong, it was certainly a bizarre response, I'm simply calling out our forum misogynist for seeing her as nothing more than a hottie in the kitchen.
Re: GOP SOTU response
And let's be honest here, the opposition response has historically always been a bit of a bizarre sideshow.
As to the main attraction, is nobody here going to comment on him invoking Hitler and drawing a comparison to today's Republican party, all in the first 90 seconds of his speech? Or him asking for money for Ukraine shortly thereafter?
2 minutes was all I could take. This was reminiscent of his now infamous red-background speech of a few years ago.

Too bad I missed it.

Re: GOP SOTU response
You’re a wimp. I sat through Trumps unbearable, rambling, incoherent speech on Tuesday night in its entirety and that idiotic response including almost breaking my TV when our actress said “under Trump the border was the safest in history”. You lasted 2 minutes on a normally styled speech?bmw wrote: ↑Fri Mar 08, 2024 9:50 amAnd let's be honest here, the opposition response has historically always been a bit of a bizarre sideshow.

Not only that… how did he invoke Hitler exactly?

Re: GOP SOTU response
When people invoke Hitler, I have no interest in hearing the remainder of what they have to say.

Paul just posted recently, I think we have at least 5 weeks before he resurrects old threads again.
Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.
