Name one. We're waiting.
Bill Clinton. Perjury. Obstruction of Justice.
George W. Bush - War Crimes Act of 1996
Ronald Reagan - Arms Export Control Act (AECA)
Did any of them try to overturn an election they didn't like?

Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

Bill Clinton. Perjury. Obstruction of Justice. WRONG - Never indicted in a criminal court. Agreed to plea deal with independent prosecutor that did not include charging him with a crime. Not justifying what he did - he was a pig - but he was never arrested, never arraigned, never prosecuted.
George W. Bush - War Crimes Act of 1996. WRONG - Did he break international law? Probably. Was he arrested or arraigned or prosecuted? No
Ronald Reagan - Arms Export Control Act (AECA). Again, WRONG - While associates and underlings were tried and convicted of various misdemeanors and a few felonies, Reagan was never arrested, arraigned or prosecuted.
Good Job, bmw. Perfect score.

Remember though they were going to charge Nixon. And the appeals court just rejected Trumps immunity claim with a mountain of evidence showing a president can be charged with a crime while in office and after leaving office. And that was authored by an HW Bush appointee. So your argument that "we don't do this" doesn't hold water... we haven't had to do this and the one time we did the guy got a pardon first. But watch... if Trump gets in he will go about jailing scores of people that are his political enemies. He also wants to deploy the military for domestic law enforcement under the insurrection act... explain to me what America we do that in? It's not one I have ever heard of... We have police to do police work. We don't need troops being police.

“We don’t need troops being police”…. Interesting…

Remember this story from last year:”DC councilman Trayvon white calls for national guard to help fight crime in D C”

https://wjla.com/news/local/dc-crime-ra ... owser-bill

And this was ironic as senator tom cotton wrote an op-Ed that NY times published in summer 2020 the “summer of mostly peaceful protests”, calling for national guard be deployed in areas as needed for crime reduction and to restore order and protect lives and business investment and tax base.

What a firestorm that ignited , throwing the sensitive NY times staff in such a tizzy their editor got fired.

Remember that?

If a city floats it that’s one thing. Declaring martial law on a nationwide basis by declaring an insurrection is something else entirely.

The appeals court deadline has expired, on with the trial...
Former President Donald J. Trump asked the Supreme Court on Monday to pause an appeals court’s ruling rejecting his claim that he is absolutely immune from criminal charges based on his attempts to subvert the 2020 election.

Unless the justices issue a stay while they consider whether to hear his promised appeal, proceedings in the criminal trial, which have been on hold, will resume.

The filing was Mr. Trump’s last-ditch effort to press his claim of total immunity, which has been rejected by two lower courts. The Supreme Court is now poised to determine whether and how fast his federal trial on charges that he tried to subvert the 2020 election will proceed. Unless the justices move quickly, the trial could be pushed into the heart of the 2024 campaign, or even past the election.

Mr. Trump’s filing came after a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit unanimously rejected Mr. Trump’s argument that he may not be prosecuted for actions he took while in office.

Mr. Trump’s lawyers urged the justices to put that ruling on hold and then to move forward at a deliberate pace.

“President Trump’s claim that presidents have absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for their official acts presents a novel, complex and momentous question that warrants careful consideration on appeal,” Mr. Trump’s application said.

The appeals court panel, made up of one Republican appointee and two Democratic ones, said Mr. Trump became an ordinary citizen in the eyes of the criminal law after leaving office.

The judge in the hush money case against Donald Trump has rejected the former president's attempt to dismiss the charges, and a jury trial will begin as originally scheduled on March 25.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg brought forth a 34-count felony indictment against Trump last year, alleging he falsified New York business records in order to conceal damaging information before the 2016 presidential election. That included hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels, who was threatening to go public with charges that she had had an affair with Trump not long after he married Melania Trump. Trump has denied the affair.

With this case, Trump became the first former president in U.S. history to be criminally indicted.

Bad news on the documents felony indictments. If the grand idiot had returned the papers this whole mess would have never happened.
“There has never been a case in American history in which a former official has engaged in conduct remotely similar to Trump’s,” they wrote.

In their 12-page filing, the prosecutors dismissed as a “conspiracy theory” a separate claim that Mr. Trump has raised in his own defense — that Mr. Biden had “secretly directed” the classified documents case and used the special counsel who filed the indictment, Jack Smith, as a “puppet” and a “stalking horse.”

“Decisions made by the Department of Justice generally, and the special counsel specifically, have been made on the basis of the facts and the law, not political considerations,” the prosecutors wrote. “The defendants offer no evidence to the contrary, because there is no such evidence.”

Selective prosecution motions are notoriously difficult to win because they require defendants to prove, in effect, that prosecutors discriminated against them by failing to bring charges against “similarly situated individuals.” Mr. Trump’s lawyers have been arguing for months that Mr. Smith selectively and vindictively brought his case against the former president during his campaign for the White House for partisan political reasons.

The hush money judge has received an envelope with white powder in it.
