Gavin Newsom hurrying along incentives to replace workers with automation

Post by bmw » Tue Oct 03, 2023 9:44 am

He's making Bernie Sanders jealous. He just raised the minimum wage in California for fast food workers who work at fast food chains (for some reason excluding Subway) to $20 an hour. It won't be long before the number of fast food jobs are slashed once these companies figure out full-blown automation. And that day WILL come. Newsom is just helping hurry it along.

They're already cutting jobs with the use of touch screen ordering kiosks.

It's only amatter of time until they start telling the customers to cook their own food.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.

Along with those minimum wages, workers should be required to have a minimum level of competence and intelligence. After my visit to an Arby's this past weekend, I would have happily licked a kiosk touch screen if it meant avoiding interacting with the Beavis and Butthead working there.
