That was nice of you. Back in my college days, I worked for a computer recycling shop that took in older computers, working or not, rebuilt them and donated them to senior citizens, libraries, and non-profits.

Building/selling/repairing computers is my profession. I used to run the tech department of my local school district but I was let go almost 10 years ago after a disagreement over the future of the technology in the district (I did beat them in court later over various Open Meetings Act violations) so then I started my own business using the money I got from that legal victory.

During Covid when I shut down for months (I didn't have to, but decided to since the bulk of my client base is elderly and was at high risk), I got into selling "retro" computer builds on ebay (DOS/98/XP/etc) and those took off....I actually make more money now doing that than I do fixing/selling more modern stuff locally.
