Krispy Kreme for President

Post by Round Six » Wed May 31, 2023 4:55 pm

Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is set to announce his 2024 presidential campaign next Tuesday at a town hall in Manchester, New Hampshire. This is the second shot at the Republican presidential nomination for Christie, who stumbled to a sixth-place finish in the 2016 New Hampshire primary.

So I'm confident all here on Buzzboard are in agreement that his chances of getting the nomination are zero. How do you think this may help or hurt DeSantis or Trump?

I'm thinking Krispy isn't some Big Dummy Walking. He has to know he has no chance. So why do it?

I think it only helps people like Nikki Haley.

See I've felt the reason Haley threw her hat in the ring is to help Trump. Like I said about Krispy, she deep down realizes (how could she not?) that she won't get it. So muck around a bit, then tell her faithful few to vote for Donald. One thing is I've not heard Trump "dogging" her. No derogatory nicknames. If I recall correctly, he was actually giving her accolades when she announced. So unlike him.
I find that interesting.

I may be mistaken. But I don't think Pence has any intention in 2024.

Christie fared poorly in 2016 when he was much more relevant. He's wasting his time. Maybe he wants to take pot shots at Trump face to face on the debate stage? I'm not sure that will even happen.

Pence has more of a shot than Christie at mounting a formidable campaign.

Yeah I guess so. 10 minutes after I post I think Pence is not going to run, I see on the news he is. Maybe it's not genetic that my eyes are brown.

Pence could capture some of the Jesus voters.

I can see GodSquadAud supporting Pence.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

Interesting article talking about people entering a race knowing they have no chance to win.

" .. Christie has also made explicit that he is running to remove Trump from contention in 2024, and from the GOP at large. Yes, he wants to become president himself, but he's driven in equal measure by a desire to see Trump lose ... "
