Not sure what the election of speaker the house has to do Christianity.

You must be fun at parties, TCT. :lol

Meanwhile, back at the DNC....

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

The Democrats are United. The Republicans have the weakest speaker in over a century. They are one person getting an idea away from devolving into complete chaos. Then they will have a hard time governing and likely lose the house in 24. Im ok with that. Why you’re ok with that too is beyond me. Do conservatives do things in a short sighted manner out of principle too?

Ahh, but they managed to get major concessions, in writing, prior to being "dragged into line."

My favorite was, Individual votes on each of the 12 appropriations bills and excluding earmarks from such bills.

When they can’t govern and that becomes the narrative which is inevitable it will hurt them in 24. The MAGA folks ain’t got any political skills or long term vision. In a word… sure they got concessions but they are… stupid.

Rather that they can't govern than govern poorly, as has become the norm for the past two years.

The house wasn't meant to be an orderly everybody fall in line operation. I'm just thankful the partisan dictatorial hack is gone!

Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

Pelosi? She had the ability to heard cats like few other speakers in the history of the chamber. It’s still meant to pass bills and move legislation along. Did you really expect any Democrat to vote for McCarthy? Seriously?

P.S… the last time the body “not meant to be a fall in line operation” didn’t.. well… fall in line fast on electing a speaker was 1856. So it really is a fall in line operation on this particular thing.

Yes, because democrats are fucking braindead idiots. Pelosi was a disgrace.

BWM was right, TCT fail.
You're proud of the Kristian values shining through from the Republican party?

Did you think this was in any way of victory for that the party? They won't operate anywhere close to functional. You really like to separate from reality don't you?
AP was simply pointing out that my predictions here were correct and yours weren't. YOU were the one who thought there was a chance that 6 Republicans might cave and vote for Jefferies. Just yesterday afternoon, even after 13 of the 20 holdouts moved to McCarthy, you said "Jefferies remains strong." That makes you the one here who separated himself from reality and living in some kind of a fantasy world. The reality always was that the Republicans were going to eventually vote for a Republican speaker - the only question was when. I thought it was probably going to be McCarthy, and the only way it wasn't was going to be if he withdrew his name, which seemed highly unlikely unless this dragged on for weeks.
