2022 Election Results Thread

Getting this out early - which sites are you watching for results? I'll be looking at the NYT, the WSJ, Fox, and CNN.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

I’ll be watching CNN and the live blogging of electoral-vote.com… same pattern since 2016. I might dip into FOX occasionally.

MSNBC always gives the most accurate results. CNN often jumps the gun. Faux is gonna faux.

They/them, non-binary and proud.

Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

MSNBC and NY Times.

Woe to you, oh earth and sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty-six

I'll be honest. Don't feel the need to follow the mid-terms "live" this year. I keep hearing it said it will be days before all the votes are all counted. I'm thinking why not just see what they say Wednesday morning.

This is one of the rare times I'll be watching cable news. I'll be flipping between WDIV and WXYZ periodically, too.

Agreed about cable news. I'll also have News/Freep tabs open.

Politico and PredictIt. The wild price swings on PredictIt that happen real-time are often a faster indicator of how the vote count is going than actually watching any individual source.

Turnout is higher than expected across Michigan according to SOS… normally that would favor the Democrats but with the newfound divide between parties on voting absentee vs. in-person it’s hard to say.

I love Steve Karnacki on MSNBC so that will probably be the TV channel on for all national info. Checking my phone for local races.

Interesting aside… walked down to the local elementary school with my girlfriend while she cast her ballot. The line just got long enough to briefly be out the door. Turnout may or may not be approaching 50% before the absentee ballots are added in. One person I asked gave a voter number in the 900’s out of about 2000 or so registered.

Very interesting. We seldom hear reporting on these races.

CNN has projected
Marco Rubio will win as well as Rand Paul.
Also Republicans in Alabama and both Oklahoma races have won. No surprises yet.
