Woe to you, oh earth and sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty-six

Shitting on SNL is always a reliable dog whistle.

SNL hasn't been "must watch" TV in many years. It's hard to sit through a whole episode these days, hoping that one or two skits will actually deliver on getting a chuckle or two. They have some good talent on there but it is largely wasted.

I miss the Tina Fey and Amy Poehler days.

I thought it was brilliant. See Donald, that’s the difference between you and us. Who are the snowflakes again?

Anyone here make a point of watching SNL every Saturday night? I'm not talking about queuing up the highlights on YouTube or something like that. I mean it's a show you intentionally watch live every week.

I still DVR it. I usually can tell within 30 seconds whether a sketch is funny or not (it usually isn't) and fast forward thru them. I watch Weekend Update. I usually have no idea who the musical guest is....give them 30 seconds.....and blow thru them. Takes me 15 minutes tops to watch the show.

Until a few years ago I did, it’s just highlights for me now. There’s so much filler in episodes now so it’s annoying to sift through it each week.

Also the years 1980 - 1981 & 1985 - 1986 were the worst seasons of "SNL"!!

Why those specific years? I'm not even sure who would have been on the cast at that time.

The 1980 - 1981 did NOT have the original "Not Ready For Prime Time Players" because in May of 1980, Jane Curtin, Bill Murray, Garrett Morris, Larrine Newman & the late Gilda Radner were done after 5 years & a new cast debuted in September of 1980. The 1985 - 1986 season had Anthony Michael Hall ("Sixteen Candles" & "The Breakfast Club") & Billy Crystal among others.
