Isn't it the humane thing to do helping them out with transportation to a place where the resources aren't being competed with by other "immigrants"?? There's probably more opportunities for employment too, without having to compete with other "immigrants" too.

I do believe we are having our turn with fascism, a little over 100 years ago Italy began there relationship with it and to skirt around goodwins law, Germany adopted it a little less then a decade or so.

So what goes around comes around I suppose. The decline of The United States moves forward.

Since Florida isn't a border State where is DeSantis getting his immigrants to send north?

I don't have a problem with Texas shipping them north. Texas clearly takes the brunt of illegal immigration looking at a map.
As to these people used as pawns in a political game perhaps that is true but republicans aren't the only ones playing.
Since the massive influx is due in large part to current liberal policy why aren't liberal states sending their own busses down to bring their brown brothers and sisters north to their part of the promised land? Liberals love to claim a moral high ground until it actually matters to them. When the rubber hits the road (pun intended) the liberal moral high ground starts to get slippery.
"republicans are using these people as political pawns" can be translated to "wait a minute we didn't mean for these people to come north"

THAT question certainly needs to be asked more.... and not stopped until we start getting some legitimate answers to it.

Do we get to send rednecks to Texas and Florida? Traverse City certainly has enough of those idiots this summer.

As a political stunt I think this is very fascist, but from a practical sense, Texas is quite brutal and quite honestly anti-christian in how they have been treating these migrants. I do think sending them to more humane States will end up with better outcomes for those individuals.

At the end of the day these are people and if they can find a better life in Massachusetts or Washington DC I'm all for it.

I do think Greg Abbott and DeSantis are colossal pieces of shit that will burn in hell. I hope that they don't try to claim to be Christians.

Probably not. Texans are all criminals pretending to be confederates.

I hope you are struggling with your faith over the immigrants.

Human trafficking - noun - from the Oxford Dictionary oed.com

the unlawful act of transporting or coercing people in order to benefit from their work or service

From the United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime -
“ Human Trafficking is the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harbouring or receipt of people through force, fraud or deception, with the aim of exploiting them for profit.”

Advancing DeSantis's political ambitions is the service they are unwittingly performing. If you think he is doing this for legitimate reasons that benefit the citizens of his state I have a bridge over a desert ocean to sell you... He did this using migrants he got from Texas using the law he demanded be passed in Florida and they did made a brief stop in Florida so it counts under the law he thinks... Generalissimo DeSantis is a dangerous man willing to do literally ANYTHING to advance himself. If there are casualties both literally and figuratively that's too bad.

Lots and lots of donations from supporters both to his superpac and reelection campaign. Not all of that will go to campaigning of course. Republicans have been donating heavily in the wake of these stunts.

Nice try, but nope. A person has to be coerced into performing some type of labor for it to be human trafficking. I am unable to access to the Oxford OED (as you need a login), but here are definitions I am finding:

------------------------------------------------------

Cambridge Dictionary: the crime of buying and selling people, or making money from work they are forced to do, such as sex work;

Oxford Learner's Dictionary: the crime of transporting or controlling people and forcing them to work in the sex trade or other forms of forced labour;

Merriam Webster: organized criminal activity in which human beings are treated as possessions to be controlled and exploited (as by being forced into prostitution or involuntary labor)

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/us/dic ... rafficking
https://www.oxfordlearnersdictionaries. ... rafficking
https://www.merriam-webster.com/diction ... rafficking

-------------------------------------------------------

So first off, for it to qualify as human trafficking, you must establish that what he did was a crime (ie, cite the specific law he violated); Second, you have to show that the human beings involved were forced into doing some kind of physical work (sex work, labor, etc).

Merely transporting people from Point A to Point B doesn't cut it.
