Now, that guy is not the secretary of abortion or ladies' rights. That's the secretary of transportation who was lecturing you about abortion, a topic that doesn't really have anything to do with him on any level, even as our transportation systems are falling apart, and that's not an overstatement. He's busy going to policy conferences, telling you the real problem in this country is the Supreme Court ruling on abortion.

Pete Buttigieg is a disgrace. He's not even doing the bare minimum to fulfill his job requirements. Pete Buttigieg should resign, at least.

So, this is not an accident. They're doing it on purpose. This is the Green New Deal they couldn't get through Congress and the energy secretary, Jennifer Granholm, the one who owns stock in an electric vehicle manufacturer even after she took her current job, came out and admitted this out loud this week.

Probably a relevant question as those folks in D.C. are talking about "gun control". THOSE rights and freedoms have been being eroded since the 1934.

Would LOVE to see the folks in D.C. actually concentrate on Rights and Freedoms. Get the Federal Government OUT of trying to micromanage everything in the country and infringing on rights and freedoms of all the citizens. Get focused on what the Federal Government SHOULD be doing as its core function, and start doing THOSE things WELL.

Oil and gas producers should be incentivized to drill more as opposed to using free cash flow to pay shareholder dividends or to buy back shares.

Drill baby drill needs to be a mantra that is resurrected.

The invasion of Ukraine by Russia and removal of Russian oil from global markets is arguably the biggest reason prices are so sky high.

Strain on refining capacity is also a significant issue. Mothballed refineries should be ordered to be brought back online via invocation of the defense production act.

The price of oil and gasoline was skyrocketing months before Putin made a move. He certainly didn't help things, but the trajectory was already in place.

You're right, but Putin's invasion of Ukraine exacerbated the situation. What was $80 per bbl oil became $100+ per bbl oil.

The administration, including Biden, Buttigieg, & Granholm and Harris, where signaling way back before they even took office that they would be "no friends" to the fossil fuel industry. What do you think happens to any folks who are weighing decisions on investments and improvements in that industry when you have such a hostile administration?

Sure, you do what you NEED to do to keep the business rolling, but you don't take ANY unnecessary risks or speculation to expand the business. When demand goes up, everyone is caught flat-footed and it takes months (or years) to respond.

I agree that the current administration is no friend of fossil fuel. Its use of the Defense Production Act for solar panel production is simply nuts and is a complete abuse of the DPA.
