Biden's RCP Polling average finally falls into the 30s

Post by bmw » Wed Feb 09, 2022 11:37 am

39.8 Approval rating. No poll higher than a 41.

His administration is a sinking ship.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epoll ... -7320.html

For comparison, Trump's on this date 4 years ago was at 41.8 average.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epoll ... -6179.html

So for as hated as Trump was (and still is), Biden's approval is even lower.

And I don't see it going back up, ever. It may get back into the low 40s but that is the ceiling, IMO.

He blew it by allowing the Bernie-bots to run the show.

Trumps never really recovered either… his ship settled around 40 or so. Biden’s ceiling is probably around 52 or 53. But he probably won’t get back there until next year. A week is a lifetime in politics so projecting approval ratings is a fools errand.

America adores Trump.

That's not accurate. Look back at the 4 year chart. He was around 43-44 for much of the remainder of his presidency, and he was even up to around a 46 just before Covid hit. The 2nd, 3rd, and early part of the 4th year of his Presidency saw a very gradual climb, and I believe had Covid never happened, he would have hit the upper 40s and won the Presidency easily.

No way. He will never again see an RCP average at or above 50, at least until the day of the 2024 election (you never know what numbers will do when someone is on their way out the door).

These optimists must have thought the same about Carter after the botched Iran incident.

You’re talking about a man who never even had a single POLL above 50 his entire presidency… Trump holds the distinction of the single lowest polling average of the polling era and also the only president to never crack 50.

I do think evidence supports that Trump is the most hated and least liked president in recent history.

Can you believe someone could possibly beat Bush? Between his two wars and the worst economic calamity of our lifetime, I thought he would never be beat.

FIFY.

As PRESIDENT, a significant number of folks liked his policy and official actions over any we've seen in recent history. His personality? Not so much.

Unfortunately for you the personality is often much more important than the policy and official actions. I wouldn’t want to be side by side with the guy in a gentleman’s club let alone having to sit and make conversation over a beer.

We all know Biden won't run for re-election, so who cares?

They/them, non-binary and proud.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

He’s already told his inner circle he intends to run in 2024. That information doesn’t get out if he’s gonna fold.

Of course he's going to run; the White House is the best nursing home anyone could ask for.

Is that what it’s been reduced to? A document dump and a nursing home?
