He had blood cancer in addition to COVID-19. Big ol' red flag, vaccinated or not.
It's being reported that he died of CA complicated by COVD, not a good combo

He was one of the good ones. I still use his 2.4 rule when estimating things.

May he RIP...

I'm not familiar with his rule.

Shockingly, pile of garbage Trump disparages him: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/tru ... 30184.html

Hey, let's try to keep entertainment out of the 'political' forums, shall we?

Paraphrasing:

When estimating how long something will take and how much it will cost, do your best effort estimate on the matters. Then, multiply by 2.4 for something that will closer to the actual outcome.

So have you found this rule to be reliable?

We're working on a major bathroom renovation here. A good opportunity for me to test it.

It didn't take long for Trump to shit on him...

"Wonderful to see Colin Powell, who made big mistakes on Iraq and famously, so-called weapons of mass destruction, be treated in death so beautifully by the Fake News Media, hope that happens to me someday. He was a classic RINO, if even that, always being the first to attack other Republicans. He made plenty of mistakes, but anyway, may he rest in peace!"

It is definitely reliable when used in a 'project by committee' in business or government, where you have much less direct control over every moving part (contractors, suppliers, and other 'personalities').

DIY projects: perhaps less so, as you _may_ have more direct influence on matters. I suppose it is a 'business' decision either way, in your case... :blink

Whenever I undertake any DIY project, I always seriously underestimate the time it will take.

Colin had myeloma AND Parkinson’s. A person’s body is highly unlikely to gain protection from a vaccine under such circumstances. You are fighting an uphill battle at 84 anyways. Not much hope regardless.

RIP sir.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

I'll use this sometime. Thanks.

MCRF hit the nail on the head.

Mr. Powell was in incredibly poor health. His chances of surviving any serious infection were extremely low. Even if he had not contracted COVID, his remaining time was likely very limited.

I think Mr. Powell was a decent man whose decision making track record while in public service was a mixed bag.

Cut the crap guys. Colin Powell was one of the best Joint Chiefs of Staff and Secretary of State that we have had in a long time.

We should name an aircraft carrier after him.
