Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/texas-covi ... -icu-beds/
I hate to sound callous because every human life is valuable but at this point I think it's time for hospitals to put out the word that the unvaccinated will be the lowest priority for bed space over other medical emergencies.
If you're too damn ignorant to get the vaccine then somebody else shouldn't suffer so you can get treatment for something that was almost completely preventable.

It's not the unvaccinated real Americans, its the ILLEGAL ALIENS SPREADING THE VIRUS NOW. 20% are positive. They are just trying to shift the blame.

Using that logic, H, they should deny coverage to those that drink, smoke, and use un-prescribed drugs.
Of course you will change your tune when you find out the vaccine is less than 50% effective on the Gamma variant.

Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
Honeyman - denying healthcare to the unvaccinated is an idea born of the seething anger toward the unvaccinated most vaccinated folks in the US are feeling.
It is indeed now a pandemic of the USA Unvaccinated here. Avoidable had they taken Biden’s warnings seriously.
Instead we’re forced back into masking - as we suffer the predicted consequences of too few arms receiving shots.
It’s all about mentally ill Trump, and his politicizing the pandemic: origin, mitigation measures, Fox News magnification of Trump’s hair-brained messaging, mis and dis information sites via the dark web, and wild Q rumors on social media.
The Putin Puppet President has proved he’s mastered the dark art - propaganda. The Soviet Union publicly vowed to destroy the USA “from within”. And when KGB-trained Putin compromised The Useful Idiot, Trump - Vlad The Mad - struck gold.
Proof? The dangerous Trump Zombies pro-Covid response, the dangerous anti-democracy Big Lie, the dangerous anti-Constitution insurrection, etc. The most recent hits topping the chart - keeping track of Putin’s “War Within” - as it disturbingly, and clearly, is unfolding in our nation.

This from a person who idolized Governor Cuomo - a governor who resigned in disgrace so not as to be impeached over, among other things, the nursing home deaths in his state.screen glare wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 8:32 amIt’s all about mentally ill Trump, and his politicizing the pandemic: origin, mitigation measures, Fox News magnification of Trump’s hair-brained messaging, mis and dis information sites via the dark web, and wild Q rumors on social media.

The true President of The United States of America in this time of national fear and confusion.
Everyday he speaks to New York and the nation on live TV.
He is steady, compassionate, no nonsense - delivering hard truth Americans crave - to make decisions - and survive.
Governor Cuomo is a voice of level-headed leadership in the h-u-g-e vacuum of presidential leadership - left by Trump.
Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
Honeyman - are you then also in favor of prioritizing emergency care to those involved in car accidents - ie, moving down the priority ladder whoever was at fault in the accident?
Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
Again with the "whataboutism" and the convoluted analogies that don't match....
90%+ percent of people in the ICU's for COVID are unvaccinnated. The could have gotten the shot and avoided the hospital.

Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
You have yet to explain to me in what way my analogies are convoluted. The very foundation of your argument is, and I'll use your exact language - "almost completely preventable." Specifically, that you think that there should be certain consequences to pay by people who engage in otherwise preventable behavior that puts their lives and others' lives in danger. Is that a fair interpretation? If so, then my analogies are fair game. If that is your standard - that you think we should de-prioritize healthcare for those who engage in such behavior, then that would logically extend to someone who drives like an idiot and gets injured in a car accident.

Hey - bmw. In case you haven’t noticed, Numbskull:
those of us who were so appreciating Governor Cuomo’s daily, televised, live updates on the pandemic - as it overtook The United States of America - infecting and killing every day - are now gut-kicked, disappointed, trust betrayed - that he’s dived into utter, criminal disgrace.
The difference? Democrats and anyone else who appreciated the then governor’s daily news briefings - especially after worriedly STARVING for such displays of daily, cool-headed, live, informed leadership from the President - have denounced Andrew Cuomo. Which is an ability Trump’s supporters largely cannot muster toward Trump! Be they lawmakers, judges, governors, voters!!
My opinion of Governor Cuomo has changed radically, bmw. As we’ve seen can happen when we place our trust in ANY politician. Or any human, for that matter.
But you go ahead and post my opinion pre Cuomo crimes coming to light. I’d expect that from a numbskull. Especially any Republican or other Trump voter/supporter who does not have the ability to tell it like HE is, despite the danger he poses to our democracy.

Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
And re your healthcare qualm - about the fantasy scenario of deserving care/not deserving - You seem to forget:
A.) A quick-killer, raging pandemic emergency overwhelming hospitals.
B.) Enough vaccine shots for every American.
C.) Widely explained severe consequences for America if most of the population is not getting vaccinated.
You can’t say all those things about smoking, car accidents, heart attacks, strokes, etc.

Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
SG - the reason several of us keep re-quoting you is because you haven't had a word to say about Cuomo in many months, but you still keep railing against Trump every opportunity you get. Had you posted what you posted above months ago, we wouldn't be doing this. And btw, thanks for your clarification on your opinion of Cuomo. I'll stop re-quoting.
As to your vaccine rhetoric, you have yet to even so much as acknowledge the existence of natural immunity, let alone acknowledge how many Americans have it (upwards of 60%) and how good it is at preventing re-infection. Until you do, your "vaccination is the only answer" stance is incomplete at best.

Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
As far as charging more goes, several insurance companies are talking about a 50 dollar non vaccine surcharge. I have no issue with that as they do similar things to people with bad habits like smoking.
Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
I'm fine with such a surcharge, so long as you are exempted by testing positive for Covid antibodies.
Re: Is it time to start denying health care to the unvaccinated?
Probably sounded good when someone said that on facebook but that's not really consistent with what he said.audiophile wrote: ↑Sun Aug 15, 2021 5:43 amUsing that logic, H, they should deny coverage to those that drink, smoke, and use un-prescribed drugs.

The Chinese created the virus, and exported it to the US and the rest of the World. They should pay for ALL the health care expenses worldwide.
The World Court should grow a pair and order them to pay, or put a surcharge on every piece of junk they make and export.
Not Trump's fault, Trump HATERS' fault.
