I do feel that the Keystone Pipeline should have been rerouted rather than shelved. It has zero right to go through Native American land, but oil and natural gas are important to our current energy system. I have extended family who works for Trans Canada, so I may have a bias here admittedly.

As far as gas prices, I do expect oil to go up. Here's an idea: speculators speculate. Sounds simple, but they are the ones who drive up the prices. Speculators use anything to justify their hunches.

I guess I would buy a used truck and deliver crickets to fisherman along the same route I used to drive before this mess screwed that all up. Lots of lakes and streams to feed the fish in.

There’s always a way to adapt using ones skills. Too many people get bogged down in their past situations and make that all consuming. The difficult trick is to reinvent yourself to match the new reality.
