Walls Do Work... Now

Unread post by Bryce »

After four years of telling us "walls don't work," house Dems introduce a bill to build a wall..
H.R.339 - To direct the Architect of the Capitol to design and install an appropriate fence around the perimeter of the United States Capitol, including the East Front and the West Front.
https://www.congress.gov/bill/117th-con ... 39?s=1&r=4

The irony...
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Hopefully this wall is just a temporary solution given the current environment. It would be a shame if the People's House installs a permanent barrier. Otherwise, I hope this bill does not make it out of committee.
I'm here for a good, hearty debate, to agree and disagree respectfully, and commiserate on the current state of terrestrial radio.

Why don't they just wall off ALL of D.C.?? Would end up resembling "Escape from New York" after a few years, but at least it would protect the rest of the country!

Trump's militias pose a far greater threat to security than do Mexican immigrants..

The thing is, walls work when you have someone with a gun pointed at the fence. When a fence is out in the middle of nowhere, they kind of don't work as is evidenced by the Mexican congressman sitting on top of this piece of Trump's fence.

It's not ironic as much as sad that we have to defend against Trump supporters.
For Kristian Trumpers are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people.

The walls at the Capitol certainly didn't work well two weeks ago. How dumb to bring this argument now!

Umm, what walls? There were no walls at or around the Capitol two weeks ago. Unless you are referring to the portable barricades they half assed erected.

DC is a great place to visit. I wouldn't want to be there right now though.

It was great to visit there in the fall of 96. Just too bad it was for Promise Keepers.
