Biden said in October that there should be “zero discrimination” if an eight or a ten-year-old child “decides” to be transgender. He also pledged again in October to sign the Equality Act, which would force public schools to allow biological males who identify as transgender girls into female athletics.

The bill, which Biden fully supports, would require public schools to allow biological males who identify as transgender girls to compete in girls’ sports.

I never will understand this. No matter how someone may identify, why they can't use the traditional restroom. Anyone with a penis use the men's room. Anyone without a penis use the ladies room. No matter how you identify. I just don't see the big deal. I mean, you're just going to the bathroom.

Bathroom usage isn't an issue for me. I've been in multi sex bathrooms, showers and locker rooms in a couple of European countries. It ain't a big deal. Sure it's novel at first but then, ehh.

What is concerning to me is biological males competing in women's sports.

There isn't much to refute. In Europe and in most states in the US, bathrooms are all unisex.

Part of the problem of being a Puritan Nation is that we have a fairly dysfunctional relationship with sexuality.

That is not to say that every cismale needs to become transgender, but the outrage about how others choose to live their lives is nonsense. Nothing is going to happen to you if you happen to pee standing up and the person in the stall next to you pee's sitting down.

Where is the fear coming from? It's just not a problem that is real. If you ask me it stems from homophobia.

As for transitioning men in women's sports, like every other aspect of competition (steroids, hgh) rules need to be established as to when it's appropriate and when it's not. At that point there's no problem.

In the vast majority of cases, someone born as a biological male will have strength and speed advantages over someone born as a female. With college scholarships on the line at the high school level, female athletes should be outraged by this.

The mechanism exists they just need to address a new series of issues.
