Shelby Township Cops Forcefully Arrest Local Peaceful Protesters

Post by MotorCityRadioFreak » Mon Oct 26, 2020 4:34 am

I personally know several people who were at this event. The group was arrested for civil disobedience when they blocked the side walk. Detroit Will Breathe, a local BLM group, is the same group who marched in support of the Hall family who had their home shot up in Warren. There is an online petition to free the Shelby six who were unjustly arrested.

Arrests were made when police say protesters refused to stay on the sidewalks and entered 23 Mile Rd.

Arrests were justified if this was correct. Someone could have been killed.

The Mayor of Flint did the same thing recently to those that refused to stay on sidewalks.

Folks need to understand what "peaceful protests" really mean. It does not mean blocking roads or public access unless you've been given permission by the local jurisdiction. It does not mean you can disobey any laws you think aren't important. It does not mean you can disrupt organized meetings or prevent other citizens from going about their day and using public resources that are designed for that purpose.
