This man, a white heterosexual male, who was a veteran, was apparently a guidance counselor for returning military veterans, to coordinate their benefits and course of study. I doubt that most of the faculty at OU or almost any other college or university has much use for veterans. So he probably had at least one strike against him other that the fact that he was a white heterosexual male. I doubt if he ever gets his job back, regardless of legal outcomes. He needs to get a good pro American lawyer and fast. And that's not cheap or even common any more. They are taught LEFT WING LAW in the vast majority of law schools.
