I posted it more in the context of showing how the mainstream media USED to do its job. The likes of ABC/NBC/CBS would NEVER, EVER now run a piece this critical of a Democratic candidate for President.
They were ready to destroy him over Tara Reade has she been credible.
As opposed to no memory in 2020. Still can't believe the dems are ridin' with Slidin' Dementia Joe Biden.
Here he is now... oh wait wrong 70-something candidate:
“We are putting out that life because it’s a bad life that we’re talking about.”
Biden corrects himself reliably. That’s a sign he isn’t in serious decline. Trump says things like this and rolls along like it makes sense. That IS a sign of serious decline.
My Grandfather became a world war 2 fighter pilot in 2013 at 81 this way. Talked about it like he were there and it all happened and made sense to everyone else... he was 9-13 during the war and it actually made no sense to anybody. He had Alzheimer’s.
More important to note is that at one time he was in league with, and partnered with, segregationists.
Where's the rush to "tear him down?"
He and the world have moved on in 50 years.
So has the world since George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Grant, etc. etc.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
More important to note is that at one time he was in league with, and partnered with, segregationists.

Those are rather isolated incidents and of course the statues wind up saved usually because they don’t break being made of metal generally. They’ll hit the museum circuit with a cute plaque at some point.
