Re: Immunologist Donald Trump
He trotted his new press secretary out there to do damage control right away. Then he back-peddled like Mad once he knew he screwed the pooch on it. So now he’s playing it off but in the video you can see it wasn’t supposed to be funny.

Ultraviolet blood irradiation: Is it time to remember “the cure that time forgot”?
Ultraviolet blood irradiation (UBI) was extensively used in the 1940s and 1950s to treat many diseases including septicemia, pneumonia, tuberculosis, arthritis, asthma and even poliomyelitis. The early studies were carried out by several physicians in USA and published in the American Journal of Surgery. However with the development of antibiotics, the use of UBI declined and it has now been called “the cure that time forgot”

Your made up definition. A real one would be something like: "An agent, such as heat, radiation, or a chemical, that destroys, neutralizes, or inhibits the growth of disease-carrying microorganisms."

Trump probably gives the American public more credit for being smarter than they really are. Certainly applies with the press, but they are probably just representative of society in general.
Re: Immunologist Donald Trump
The fact that this Trump gaffe has been the lead story for days now tells me that life is quickly returning to normal. If we were still in the midst of a pandemic, hard news coverage would still lead the headlines. But it doesn't. So I guess the pandemic can't really be THAT bad.
