Let’s not forget - Trump got rid of pandemic response preparedness experts on National Security Council in 2018.

Part of his heave-ho of all things Obama administration.

That program had been conducting government pandemic response exercises to learn where, and warn, about any weaknesses in our response to a potential pandemic. BEFORE another pandemic could strike. All summed up in their written reports/warnings to the white house.

Trump/Bolten got rid of that group, and tossed those responsibilities into the NSC at large. No more pandemic specialty!

Bolton got his marching orders from Trump.

Trump had the responsibility to plan for the worst while hoping for the best - at the first hint of a never-seen-in-humans zoonotic virus - causing a stir - in Wuhan China.

He recklessly failed. He failed our country. He’s failed our people.

Why should these people have all the cushy government jobs and pensions, and other people struggle without them in the private sector?
