The report you have quoted is from the Center for Immigration Studies, a think tank that has not been held in high regard by many researchers and experts. Last year, a CIS report was used to justify the southern border wall, stating basically that the wall would pay for itself, something that turned out to be unverifiable. Although I don't use the phrase, some might call me part of "the Left." I don't support anything "illegal". However, I do believe our immigration system is a total mess, and needs to be approached with a much more nuanced solution.
