Richard Nixon colluded with FBI Director J. Edgar Hoover to get the Democrats to nominate George McGovern in 1972. The FBI had a MIND CONTROL device that made Democrats hear voices, repeating the phrase "NOMINATE GEORGE MCGOVERN" over and over 24/7, until they nominated him. The voices used included recordings of FDR that Hoover had secretly recorded on direct to disk machines and wire recorders, and he personally spliced together phonetic snippets into the phrase used, after transferring them to tape using a Uher 5000 tape recorder. It was the same Uher 5000 that was used to overdub the 18 1/2 minute gap in the Nixon tapes, which J. Edgar Hoover personally supervised. The recording apparatus was installed at the request of John F. Kennedy by J. Edgar Hoover, who also used mind control on JFK to get him to agree to the tapings.

Snopes reports that this conspiracy theory is 100% true.

I think I heard something like this on Thom Hartmann's show one time, long ago. It would not surprise me in the slightest.
