Duh. That was the red flag that the two had struck a secret deal to put her on the 2020 ticket in place of Pence.
Neither gives a damn about the other - just a mutual use - as both want to be president.

BTW - Trump Haley or Trump Pence or Trump Anybody - it makes no difference.
Trump Putin is the key to a guaranteed Trump win, again.
As for both Pence and Haley? They had/have the same strategy in allowing themselves to be Trump’s obedient pet for four or eight years: their shortcut to the presidency. Either by dutifully serving as Trump’s lap dog VP - to cement their national and world name and face recognition before running as a presidential candidate themselves, or by suddenly superseding Trump if he dies in office.
Hell - Haley just published her obligatory pre-presidential candidacy autobiographical book! AND - made clear to the surprise of many - that she’s guzzled the Trump Cult KoolAid. She is all into the slime no matter how stinkin’.
Imagine how thoroughly steamed Pence and Mother and their daughters are to understand that Mike has put up with all Trump’s distasteful BS for four years - without now being allowed to attain his long-suffering goal of being president.
I think it a realistic possibility that Mother is - along with her co-writer daughter - the anonymous author of both the Anonymous op/ed and book. They had both co-written the children’s rabbit story. And now the young adult kid has penned exactly what her mom is telling her to write about the maniacal Trump and his treacherous swamp. The words “loadstar” (an oft-heard Mike Pence utterance) and “Aramaic” (the language Jesus was speaking) appear in the writings.
