Healthy Michigan Plan Changes

Post by Deleted User 4520 » Wed Oct 02, 2019 1:48 pm

So I got a letter in the mail concerning the Healthy Michigan Plan. Apparently there are some forthcoming changes coming in January 2020.

"Starting January 1, 2020, Michigan law will require some people in HMP to tell us each month about 80 hours of work or activities like job search".

I have no trouble meeting the hour requirements to be eligible. However I do have a problem with having to report my hours every month. Just another layer of inconvenience forced upon us. It's not like it's unemployment where you had to report your hours. I wish I could afford actual insurance as not to be hassled with this nonsense. Not much choice I guess because I have some expensive prescriptions.

Sorry to hear about this. It makes all those tax cuts to the 1% that much more worth supporting.

Which side of the fight in Lansing are you on?
