I think tossing Executive Branch subpoena no-shows in jail is an excellent idea. Thou shalt not prevent the US House from carrying out its constitutional requirement of OVERSIGHT.

Alternatively, prosecutors that have an actual case don't cut out legal steps if they actually have a case. If there was a formal impeachment vote, that would be one thing. Of course in an actual investigation, Adam Schiff's letter writing/letter writing coaching would be exposed like "Story time with Adam Schiff" has already been exposed. The White House is absolutely right not to cooperate with an at this time illegitimate inquiry.

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

Try to pay attention. You're beginning to look silly.

Did I miss the part where the U.S. House of Representatives voted for a formal impeachment inquiry?

This isn't a U.S. House impeachment inquiry. It's nothing more than Adam Schiff and Nancy Pelosi theater of the mind.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

No, but you missed the part where the Constitution does not demand such a vote.

The House of Representatives, not "The Democratic Members of The House of Representatives." Without a vote, it isn't a matter of the House, merely a dog and pony show by radical, blue city committee members.

You win. It's all theater.

According to your logic, a vote of all Dems for impeachment and all Rep against would still not make it legitimate? There have only been three impeachment proceedings in the House over the country's history and each one of them was handled by the Speaker at the time in the method he (it was all he's then) felt appropriate. Constitutionalists support the fact that given the reading of the document, the House can choose to do this any way it wants. JUST LIKE THE SENATE - who's job it is to confirm Supreme Court Justices - can use whatever procedure it wants, including denying a hearing during an election year, something ONLY supported by one party in the Senate. Your argument does not hold water.

There are many reasons why this entire process is a bad idea, but attacking the process does nothing more than show your partisanship. You want to talk about the actual issues, bring it on. You want to parrot the talking points of a combatant who thinks he can punch his way out of this by smearing the document the nation is founded on, go fuck yourself.

A formal impeachment vote would only provide a list of "targets", from both parties, for trump to attack.

So we just abandon proper procedure?

Do you Leftists have the memory of a gnat? Do you not remember the scores of subpoenas for Clinton and Obama related documents that were ignored and stonewalled by the Left?

There are no laws or established rules that dictate the need for a formal vote.

FORMAL VOTE utter nonsense! It's NOT proper procedure, bmw. According to the US Constitution it does not exist. The Constitution is vague about impeachment procedure nitty gritty. What’s clear is the US House is in charge. And the folks in power there - are the people’s recent choice - a record number of elected democrats.

So shut your cry-baby mouth. FORMAL VOTE not required.
