Aren't we all losing sight of the real issue here? It isn't about Trump VS Biden. The whistle blower report may or may not implicate the President.

By law, that report is to be turned over to the Congressional Committee. They are refusing to do that. The failure to do that fuels speculation as to their reasons.

Whether this particular report is covered under that particular law is currently up for debate.

The law says "Shall." It doesn't say "may," "might," "could" or "should."

In law "Shall" is mandatory, not directory. It leaves no wiggle room.

re: shall:

I shall chime in with the only facts that are relevant here:

1 - Trump shall serve out 2 full terms as President
2 - Trump shall never be convicted of any crimes related to his Presidency, either during or after his service.

Now, carry on...

The law did not require the director of national intelligence to forward it to Congress because it involved “conduct by someone outside the Intelligence Community and did not relate to any ‘intelligence activity within the responsibility and authority of the DNI,’ ” he claimed.

Klitenic also said the complaint involved “confidential and potentially privileged communications.” Disclosure would violate the president’s authority to control classified information and the whistleblower and inspector general were barred from sending the information directly to Congress, he said.

But wait! There's more!
The source said that it is made clear in the complaint itself that the whistleblower did not have direct knowledge of the July phone call between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

What is certain: a president of the united states is being accused.

Not a presidential candidate - as with much of the copious Russian collusion documented in the Mueller report.
And - not a president elect.

This is a sitting us president.
A mentally ill president, yes. But still - a president.

Bill Weld is saying - if born out by the desperately and unlawfully CONFISCATED AND WITHHELD whistleblower complaint, and/or phone call transcript - then Trump has committed “OBVIOUS”, “PURE and SIMPLE” TREASON. AND - he emphasizes - the penalty for treason is DEATH.

Yep. That’s what the REPUBLICAN former governor of Massachusetts and attorney is confidently stating during more than one interview.

Weld is challenging nut case Trump for the republican presidential nomination. And the Gov must be clairvoyant. While some states rush to cancel their republican primaries - Weld has had this gift of good fortune from the sick CIC fall right into his lap!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Good for the Harvard-Oxford-Educated Gov!!! And good for our beleaguered country.

Get ready for the US troops being sent to Saudi Arabia and the UAE to be positioned figuratively and literally against Iran. Let Trump’s “really big show” of distraction - from his treason - begin!

And understand - because he suffers from the mental illness Narcissistic Personality Disorder - the whole Iran taunt is based on his demented desire to be seen as “a war president”. Because all cowards who bully want to hide their yellow streaks by appearing to be strong.

And never forget - most of the 9/11 terrorists were bred and fed in Saudi Arabia. The country run by Trump’s good buddy - stinking tyrant MBS. The pampered, journalist butcher - Saudi Arabia’s crown prince.

The swampiest cabinet. An executive branch full of empty desks. Large numbers of “acting” directors at every level. “Love” for sworn enemies of The United States. Also - A Senate leader who spends his time blocking legislation. A DOJ leader who spends his time defending Trump. But most ominous - a president who spends HIS time watching TV, golfing, tweeting, and CONSTANTLY telling the American people lies. He has destroyed our ability to ever trust in his word.
You should spend more time focusing on your kids.

The NYT is reporting the whistleblower is/was a CIA officer stationed at the White House, so Trump may have figured that out when his last rant characterized the whistleblower as a "spy".

Waiting for next rant to be along the lines that this is another example of the intelligence community is out to get him. Problem there is I imagine there's been a CIA presence at the White House since the days Allen Dulles, the CIA's first director back in the 50's without issue. Seems like this breach of law by Trump is exactly why there needs to be someone from the agency hanging around.

Those facts don't fit BMW's narrative nor Trumps talking points. Lots and lits of reaching lately.

The whistleblower, if he is real, needs to be treated like many Republicans have. Release his:

1. Name
2. Address
3. Phone Number

If he does exist.

I have doubts that Mark Felt was really Deep Throat.

Woodward and Bernstein invented Deep Throat. Much of what they released was sheer speculation.

We thought Democrats and Journalists were decent back then. A very few were.

They've overplayed their hand this time.

Trump is mentally ill. That’s why his every waking minute is full of crazy talk and crazy behaviors.

It’s why those who work with him are alarmed - living in fear of what he thinks, says, and does - endangering them and their country. Featuring his fits of rage, bouts of sadistic glee, endless lies, and addictively playing (and promoting via tweets) his blame games.

It’s why turn over in his administration is like a quickly spinning, revolving door. And those once loyal vehemently turning on him in various ways.

He is so thoroughly daft and confidently reckless - he now decided to repeat the same illegal behavior - engaging with a foreign power to help him win an election - despite that first run through causing the Russia Investigation and resulting Mueller Report. Plus numerous associates jailed or facing sentencing, and his own legal perils awaiting him in New York.

The fact is - he and his family could now use the symptoms of his illness to assist in the finding of “mitigating circumstances over which he had no control” - to get him out of the legal, historic, social and business consequences befalling him.

But very few observers are willing to state aloud that he is blatantly mentally ill with a DSM-5 textbook case of Narcissistic Personality DISORDER.

And he may display one or more sociopathic behaviors that are not NPD - but are related. Such as (starting in his youth) Defiance Syndrome.

Are you speaking of Adam Schiff?

Quote of the week from Andrew Mccarthy:
If it is of importance today that Ukraine is beholden to the president and the American administration for help, was it not at least equally important in 2016? I have no problem with the principle that the president should not exploit his power over foreign relations for partisan political purposes. I have a problem with the double standard.

See the way the game is played: When the Obama administration leans on Ukraine for help in an investigation of political opponents, the Democrats and the media say, “But look how corrupt Paul Manafort was!” When the Trump administration leans on Ukraine for help in an investigation of political opponents, the Democrats and the media say, “Abuse of power — impeach him!”
