Running mate possibilities for Trump

Post by MWmetalhead » Wed May 04, 2016 12:49 pm

Who will play role of #2 for Donald?

There is buzz that Little Marco wants it badly. Certainly, Rubio on the ticket would ease the nerves of a few Hispanic voters but might tick off the rednecks who like Trump.

I think his #2 will be Christie, Guiliani, Rubio, Santorum or Huckabee. Won't completely rule out Nikki Hailey, although she seems unlikely. Wouldn't surprise me if a few sitting senators or governors are being vetted.

I'd go after Dr. Condi Rice.

The others? Maybe Huckabee would balance the ticket out well.

Christie should be A/G. Americas Mayor goes to Homeland.

I'm hoping for Ted Nugent. This campaign season needs some livening up. Might make the vp debates worth watching, too.

Trump has said he has zero interest in Bush cabinet members and specifically cited failed foreign policy.

I'd like John Bolton to serve as VP or Secy of State personally.

Such speculation may go on for a while. Trump said he won't make a decision until July, and that he is setting up a committee to help him make his pick.

I'm just taking a shot in the dark here, but I'll guess Scott Walker. His pros are that he's a governor, he's from the midwest where Trump could use some help in the general election, and he got out early enough that there wasn't time for bad blood to develop between him and Trump. Also, his dry personality would help balance Trump.

My preference would be for Huckabee, but I don't think he'd be much of a help to the ticket as far as getting votes.

If John Bolton is still alive, he'd be an awful SS.

Rubio would be the best option from the pack of GOP nit wits.

Trump is going to pick someone like Huckabee, Christie, or Sarah Palin. The last two are bad ideas.

BMW is right again (as usual). I suspect Walker is being considered. I should have listed him above.

Also need to include Governor Mary Fallin of Oklahoma on the list.

There is no way he picks Sarah Palin.

If he wants a female, TOTAL WILD CARD pick, I'd say Fox News commentator Andrea Tantaros. She is an admitted Trump supporter and mysteriously disappeared from the Fox News airwaves this week.

I hear Carly is looking for a job. She already has some experience as a Vice Presidential candidate.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.
