ZZ,
In reality, politicians have never been for the interest of the people. What has changed is that corporations who run politics are no longer concerned about America as part of their core values. "What's good for GM is good for America" is not true anymore. America is still somewhat protectionist, but corporations are marching to a global drum.

Both candidates understand this, but many Americans are just figuring it out. That has been Trump's whole pitch.

BTW Koch brothers have stated they are supporting Hillary.

"It's possible" doesn't equate not true.

True. Is it possible Hillary was fighting for her man, when fighting against the other woman? I think it's possible.

If Bill is such a pig, why did Trump invite him their wedding? They look pretty happy with each other here:

How could the GOP get hijacked by such a fraudster?

How could the GOP get hijacked by such a fraudster?
Where should I begin?

The GOP has been spewing hate for 50 years. Every candidate, or leader doing nastier more special interest centric things. Trump is the next logical step in the progression.

He's the culmination of an angry base feeling betrayed by their leaders...

I don't understand what GOP voters have come to expect from their leadership that all 16 candidates weren't acceptable. The fact that they are bought and paid for from corporatations and Pseudo-christian lobbyists is at the core of the GOP values.

The donors and the core base want two different things. What you think of as "GOP Values" was a front to get gullible people's votes. Reality is just tax cuts and less regulation to benefit the rich. Nothing about stopping illegal immigration. That's a base want not a donor want. The donors like the cheap labor. How about "family values" and such? Again the base was fooled into thinking the party stood for it when it's not on the donors radar. The base has been played for 40 years like a fiddle and they are realizing it.

Fortunately, there aren't enough Pseudo-Christans and angry old men to muster a majority.

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Whatever it takes to close the deal. He really should start wearing plaid sports coats.

From "Protester In Chief" to Salesman In Chief".

TC talks took great joy in comparing Cruz to Mr. Hainey. T Rump acts like him.
