Media "outrage"? For block parties?!?

It's the GUNS douchebag!
Put the word illegal in front of the word GUNS and you might be on to something.

The fact remains, according to FBI statistics, that a demographic that makes up about seven percent of the population is responsible for a bit more than 50 percent of the gun homicides in this country. No one will acknowledge that and try to figure out a solution for fear of being called a racist fucker.
If I heard it correct this morning, the Baltimore PD has confiscated over 1300 illegal guns since the beginning of the year.

The big question though is "did anyone suffer any real penalties for having an illegal gun"?? If you just take the gun and give a slap on the wrist, then you can guarantee that person is just going to acquire another illegal gun. It's just a matter of time, so just confiscating a gun doesn't really reduce the number of illegal guns on the street. It's like mowing your lawn or cutting your hair... just busywork but not really reducing the workload. Take that person off the street and now you HAVE actually removed an illegal gun from the street.

Yea but if you attach penalties when doing that, then you are less likely to get that gun because those people will likely take steps to hide their weapons better, especially if heavy penalties are attached. There is also no shortage of people to recruit into criminal organizations to hold positions where they will hold guns. The number of people we have locked up in general is extremely high, but this problem continues to grow. We send these people to jail for 5 years on a gun charge, then we are sending them to criminal grad school for five years.

The thing is that we DON'T send them away for gun charges. Mostly those get plead down to some misdemeanor so they never serve time at all, and are STILL out on the street and re-enter the market to pick up a gun. They can't hid them when they're out on the street or the gun won't be available for them when/if they need it.

You bring up another problem with the "sending them to criminal grad school". That's a different problem that also needs to be addressed. What have we been doing over the last ~50 years to address that problem? The inmates have certainly been running the asylum for a long time now and we really should start taking steps to resolve that.

There was also a street festival shooting in Texas - this one on July 3rd. Wounded 8 and killed 3.

The suspects are now in custody.

Clearly Trump supporters.
Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.

Wonder what the odds your betting website would have on these two having a fairly long list of priors? Sounds like a sure win bet to me.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
