Maybe someone there doesn't like him?

I think he will be a decent candidate for Senate and is probably the odds on favorite for the GOP nomination, but I think Slotkin has a good chance of winning the seat.

Any smart opponent of his, whether it be in the GOP primary or general election, will make the point of him being a carpetbagger a big issue. He hasn’t lived in Michigan for at least 6 years as he’s been a FLA resident
