Couple news flashes:
1) Our refining capacity is geared to refine foreign oil into ⛽️.

2) Keystone was a Canadian pipeline sending Canadian oil to the gulf for export. It was NOT primarily intended to give us more oil to turn into gasoline.

Keystone was a natural gas pipeline, not oil.

Rate This is half right.
Motor City is wrong.
Keystone transports crude oil.
It currently goes from Canada to the Gulf.
Along the way, refineries in the US get oil from the pipeline. Canadian oil from the pipeline also gets exported from the Gulf

What Biden vetoed was a bigger pipe going to and from the same sources and destinations as the current Keystone pipeline.

I still don’t feel it’s a massive loss…. It’s not like it was a NEW big pipe. Incidentally I oppose line 5 for the same reasons… that one comes into the us from Canada.. and then leaves again back into Canada. To my mind it had better dead end here if you want it be in U.S. soil. Same with Canadian Garbage… lots of open space to put it in Canada. It doesn’t belong in Michigan.

I agree on Garbage, but line 5 does help US. At one time the Jeddo Detroit Edison power plant was set up to use Sarnia byproducts, it now uses natural gas from various sources.

Ever heard of Marysville terminal with Sarnia oil?

The reporter's comment wasn't that the gas prices in CA were the highest in the nation, he said "It’s 7 bucks a gallon almost,"
to which Biden replied: ""Well, that’s always been the case here,"
