A little over 3 months later, and what a shocker. That Covid hotspot map? It has completely flipped. It is almost as if cases go down once natural immunity builds up in a region.

We've now lost four of our friends to covid. The common denominator with all of them was they were all anti vaxxers.

Again, sorry to hear that.

Were they all elderly?

Right. I forgot about that conservative talking point. The elderly should be prepared to die for the greater good.

These folks were martyrs to the cause.

Turkeytop, my sympathies on your losses. I have also lost friends to Covid, all younger except one. My son, who is 40 will be in the Hospital because of it till sometime in November, 3 plus months, and then will be transferred to a nursing home for 6 to 8 months, and yes he is an anti vaxxer, one of two who I know who has changed their minds...The other a coworker who watched her brother die from it. Seems that when Covid bites an anti vaxxers ass really hard they change their mind.

Why do you insist on mis-representing my position at literally every single turn? I've said the elderly are generally a group that SHOULD get vaccinated.

I've said there are 20 to 30% of the population that should probably get vaccinated, and every single time I say the other 70% may be better off with natural immunity, the counter to my position is almost ALWAYS pointing to people who are in the 30%.

I'm tired of engaging in straw man arguments.

Go ahead. Embrace your inner covid. Maybe you'll be among the lucky few to die from it. They'll erect a plaque in your memory.

So you're not going to deny that you constantly mis-represent my position on this issue.

I'll take this as an admission.

I thank the psycho(s) who think they deserve to determine who is worthy of being able to post here and who is not every day, because

a). US politics is none of their business; or
b). they avoid posting here.

What a hot steaming pile of hypocrite.

No comment on zzand's 40 year old fellow anti-vaxxer son? How's natural immunity working out for him?

What's more pathetic: harassing an old man who is paying to do a radio show or supporting a grifter like Trump?

I somehow think that post might be referencing me. I agree. US politics is none of my business. But I didn't realize this thread had anything to do with politics. When did vaccination become political? When did public health become political?

I'm a socialist. My neighbour is a conservative. We were both among the first in line when the vaccine became available.

I don't know enough about any underlying conditions his son may or may not have to further comment.
