I'll say it again and again until I sound like a broken record: if you have a problem with the amount of money someone legally paid in taxes, then take that up with the people who wrote the tax code, NOT the people who took advantage of it. I don't know why this is such a difficult concept for so many people.

Considering Cyrus Vance is looking into financial crimes I wouldn’t bet Evan a penny that he didn’t break any laws. You are acting like he’s some sort of upstanding guy against all the evidence in the world. Without his tax returns in full we cannot know for certain what he may have violated. Unlike the folks on the above list he won’t tell us. He’s hiding something clearly.

What those who insist this is just a normal occurrence in the application of the tax code fail to mention is an appreciation of how craptastic a businessman you have to be to claim chronic losses enough to sustain paying little to no taxes over a 15 year period. Truly mind boggling, but then again we are talking about someone who managed the almost impossible feat of managing a casino into bankruptcy. If that weren't enough according to the report he's on the hook for some $300M in personal loan liability in the next two years. Astounding.

Trump doesn’t sit down every year with some tax software on his home computer and look up his income and deductions and enter them like you schlubs do. He has an ARMY of ACCOUNTANTS AND LAWYERS who prepare it. And he has for 50 years or more. Sure, most people don’t understand the laws. And it may look like something is suspicious, but if you understand the law, you’ll find it’s completely legal, and much was passed by Democrats. Going through that much material will take a long time, but it’s guaranteed to all be legal.
