Langdon comes from the Pelicans. His hire reportedly will become official next week. I hope he throws Weaver out on his ass.

By the way, it's nice to see Rod Beard writing about the Pistons for The Detroit News again. I don't know if this is a one-off article or if he's returning to the Pistons beat full time. Nearly anyone will be an improvement over Mike Curtis' blather!

In his five seasons as the Pelicans' GM, Langdon established a reputation for his personnel moves and draft picks, while working with New Orleans team president David Griffin. Langdon also learned from his time with the Brooklyn Nets in his role as an assistant general manager under Sean Marks.

His skill with draft picks basically amounts to getting the 1/1 pick the year Zion Williamson was available:
