Watching the Illinois/Michigan basketball game (currently 80-48 Illinois), has me wondering who the next b-ball coach for America's Basketball Team will be? Beilein appears available.

Pipe dream: Jay Wright.

I don't think Jay Wright would take the job I think he is enjoying retirement. I wouldn't mind Beilein returning as Michigan's head coach once again if he wants the job maybe he'll get a say on the next hire.

You have to kick the tires on Dan Hurley.

You honestly think he'd leave UConn, the #1 team in the country, where basketball is everything, making 6M a year, to go to Michigan?

Michigan > UConn.

Michigan > UConn.
Not in basketball… no way. Michigan isn’t on anybody’s radar as a destination basketball anything.

Michigan > UConn.
You into your 4th or 5th IPA? Basketball is everything at UConn. Their women's team has 5 times the support as UM men's basketball. Hurley is building a monster there. Why would he go to a program who is probably #18 in a soon-to-be 18 team conference?

Michigan should try and steal Collins from Northwestern, but I doubt he'd go either.

Meanwhile, in his first game, OSU's interim coach outcoaches Matt Painter and upsets Purdue.

Hearing from a friend (bookie) who says Otzelberger at ISU might be talking to Michigan.

Seems like a reasonable approach, which is why I doubt the veracity. This would require Warde to do some work. Warde is only doing that if his hand is being forced.

One person advocating for John Beilein to return: https://mgoblog.com/mgoboard/any-chance ... -and-coach

I wouldn't be mad.

Belein is now 71 and hasn't coached in 4 years. The last time he coached in college the NIL and transfer portal weren't really a thing.
I'm not sure there is enough money to entice him back.
