Finding ways to win! All ya need is one more run than the other guys.

3-2 for 3-0

Sweep! The White Sox are ass piss, but they're still games you need to win against a division rival you don't play as much since the schedule became more balanced. Very encouraging start to the season.

They do it again! Flying in the face of a no-hitter, the Tigers match the Mets pitch for pitch and end up scoring five in the tenth for another shut-out win.

5-0 for 4-0!

and all on the road at that. Might have to actually pay attention to this team this year.

Wendle of the Mets is the Tigers' MVP. He bobbled and dropped what should've been an easy catch between 1st and 2nd base in the top of the 10th. Instead, Tigers wound up with runners on the corners.

That was not the only defensive miscue by the Mets in the 10th inning, either.

The last 5 run 10th inning for the Tigers that I can remember was about 11 or 12 years ago at home against Cleveland. The Tigers gave up 4 runs to Cleveland in the top half of the inning and then remarkably scored 5 runs in the bottom half of the inning to win. Cabrera hit a solo walk-off homer to win that one.

Sort of like Josh Reynolds dropping that fourth down pass. :razz

The bullpen looks like the strongest part of the team. Just wish the bullpen of the 2006-2014 Tigers had been this good.

Opening Day weather in Detroit looks dry but lousy. Temps in the low to mid 40s with a stiff north wind appear likely.

One of the coldest days of my life was the only Opening Day that I attended in 1989.

One of the best meals of my life was at the Mexican Village Restaurant a few miles away a few hours later. The warmth of the food was as enjoyable as the taste.

Seldom missed opening day when I lived in Michigan. I remember snow flurries, games cancelled and played the next day, biting cold. I honestly don't remember a warm one.

Will be there tomorrow and not looking forward to the weather. At least they took rain out of the forecast.

Will never forget winning tickets and a bus ride down to Opening Day in 1996. Sat in the bleachers in Tiger Stadium and froze my butt off. High temp hit 37 and there was a gusty wind. BRRRR
