Tigers record against everyone else: 12-3, which includes 8-1 vs NL teams.

Don’t get me wrong, this is not a championship team. But can they contend for the division in the worst one in baseball? Mmmmmaybe?

Even though it’s May 6th, I don’t think we have enough info yet. They need to start playing teams in the AL Central to get an accurate assessment of who they are.

With the schedules now not heavily focused on playing those in your division, it doesn't work that way as much any more.

He may not be hitting much above the Mendoza line, but Torkelsen is playing a helluva first base!

With two errors today, you may be right. And so much for our lights-out bullpen. . Damn, it was shaping up as another great comeback, too.

I turned on the radio right before Detroit hit the grand slam to take the lead...then I check the score a half hour later and

Tigers committed 4 errors in the Cardinals Sunday game.

Tigers win the series against Cleveland.

Record is 17-19, two games behind Minnesota.

And then there's the AL East where the 21-17 Yankees are alone in last place and 8.5 games back.
