The bullpen held the lead, Tigers won 5-4 in St. Louis.

Tigers are now in second place. Tigers are 6-4 in the last 10 games.

This team will probably drop at least 7 of the next 10 if they're true to form.

Tigers record against the AL East: 2-14
Tigers record against everyone else: 12-3, which includes 8-1 vs NL teams.

Don’t get me wrong, this is not a championship team. But can they contend for the division in the worst one in baseball? Mmmmmaybe?

Even though it’s May 6th, I don’t think we have enough info yet. They need to start playing teams in the AL Central to get an accurate assessment of who they are.

With the schedules now not heavily focused on playing those in your division, it doesn't work that way as much any more.

He may not be hitting much above the Mendoza line, but Torkelsen is playing a helluva first base!

Book it, Tigers win again!

The bullpen went 5 1/3 innings and gave up 2 hits! Wow.

In the 18 games since Javier Baez was pulled from a game on 4/13 for a mental mistake, he has hit .343 with 3 home runs, 14 RBIs, and 11 runs. Over a full season, that projects to 27 home runs, 126 RBIs, and 99 runs.

With two errors today, you may be right. And so much for our lights-out bullpen. :rolleyes. Damn, it was shaping up as another great comeback, too.

They might actually be a decent team if they can keep it up.

And then there's the AL East where the 21-17 Yankees are alone in last place and 8.5 games back.
